Students who do not meet the minimum entry requirements are still able to begin their studies as a Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) student. The FIA route is open to everyone. The requirement to transfer from an FIA student to an ACCA student is that you must first pass the three Applied Knowledge papers before continuing with the Applied Skills level papers of the ACCA qualification.
Finally, if you are a University graduate with a relevant degree or hold part/full completion of other relevant accounting or finance qualifications, you may be eligible to claim up to 9 exemptions from the ACCA qualification. In order to achieve the ACCA Qualification, students must:
- Complete a total of 13 exams, depending on prior experience and qualifications
- Complete an Ethics and Professional Skills module
- Evidence three years of practical work experience within a relevant role
This means that students can complete the ACCA Qualification in a minimum of three years.
